Message from Our President
In hindsight, our start in 1948 seemed very modest indeed. We used coconut oil to manufacture a single product: a laundry soap, which we sold door to door, sometimes with limited success.Today, WINGS produces hundreds of personal and household cleaning products, from toothpastes and shampoos, to detergents and porcelain cleaners. We employ thousands of people in dozens of manufacturing plants and distribution centers across Indonesia. Our flagship brands such as Ekonomi, SoKlin, and Giv are category leaders known for their excellent product quality.WINGS also exports to many countries worldwide, from Nigeria to The Phillipines. Yet we are more than just another 'soap and detergents' company. We have also invested heavily in both upstream and downstream integration. Our chemicals and packaging divisions allow us to produce consistent, great quality products at a lower cost to benefit you, our valued customers. It is true that part of the reason for our success has been Indonesia's rapid economic growth in the past three decades. However, I sincerely believe that it is our employee's dedication to our customers and a strong focus on quality and efficiency that allowed us to navigate through the Asian Economic Crisis.Today, WINGS continues to improve. For example, we are investing in additional capacity, introducing new innovative products, driving improvement projects throughout the organization, as well as renewing our focus on HR initiatives. I believe that the men and women of this company have done a fine job, and will continue to do so in the future. Lastly, I would like to thank You, friends and valued customers for your support. I firmly believe that with your support and our strong commitment to the customer. Wings will be able to ensure its success in the new millennium.
